“I AM”

In the Book of John, Jesus said “I Am” seven times:
1. Bread – sustain us in time of spiritual, financial, and physical hunger
John 6:35 “I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me shall not hunger.”
2. Light – guide our path, when we have lost our way into darkness
John 8:12 “I am the light of the world; he who fallows Me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
3. Gate – that leads me into security when everything around me may be crumbling
John 10:9 “I am the gate; if anyone enters through Me, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.”
4. Good Shepherd – He will lead me through the “valleys” that we encounter on our journey
John 10:11 “I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for His sheep.”
5. Resurrection and Life – we will have Eternal Life, here on earth and in Heaven for all eternity
John 11:25 “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me shall live even if he dies.”
6. Way, Truth, Life – there is no other way to the Father, but through His Son
John 14:6 “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.”
7. True vine – as we are “pruned”, submitting to God’s Authority, we become more like Him
John 15:1 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.”

I desire to have attributes like the Lord, this does not happen over night, it is a process. There are areas in our lives that have instant change, others are over time. Don’t ever, ever, give up growing in Christ….
